PCPS Technical Issues Committee (TIC) – TIC released several recent Comment Letters on Accounting Standards, Auditing Standards, Compilation & Review Standards, and Governmental Accounting & Auditing.

 

3rd Quarter 2008

As a result of PCPS collaboration with the US Small Business Administration, recently revised loan processing procedures now define the term “qualified source” to include a licensed CPA that performs the business valuation in accordance with AICPA’s “Statement on Standards for Valuation Services,” (SSVS1) as well as those holding the AICPA’s ABV credential.  For more information, click here.

 

4th Quarter 2008

PCPS Technical Issues Committee (TIC) – The Winter 2009 TIC Alert addresses TIC’s latest local and regional firm advocacy efforts with the various standard-setting bodies within the profession.

 

1st Quarter 2009

The Specialized Community Teams (PFP, FVS, IT & PCPS) worked closely with the AICPA Tax Section to provide additional guidance to members in response to specific questions/situations about Section 7216 Regulation’s requirements.

 

2nd Quarter 2009

PCPS releases the Research Report - “An Empirical Test of the Reliability Framework: Evidence from Banking Professionals”, which supplies valuable background information and support for proposed new standards that will make it easier for CPAs to provide needed services to their private company clients.
